Assessment of the Bolivia Postabortion Care Community Mobilization Program
This assessment looks at the Community Mobilization PAC (C-PAC) program that was implemented in Bolivia from 2004 to 2007.The overriding goal of the Bolivia C-PAC Program was to empower the community to mobilize itself and thus help reduce maternal morbidity and mortality cause by complications of incomplete abortion (both spontaneous and induced). This assessment evaluates the C-PAC Project carried out by CATALYST and Socios para el Desarrollo in Bolivia. It is meant to provide information to interested parties in Bolivia and to key stakeholders in the USAID global PAC program and to provide a knowledge base for replicating the program and scaling up investments in similar programs worldwide. Family Planning Repositioning Case Study Reports
ACQUIRE has compiled five country-specific case studies that showcase the importance of family planning and the need for its continued support. The first three studies and synthesis report look at three countries that have made significant progress over the past 10–20 years: Ghana, Malawi, and Zambia. The final two studies analyze Senegal and Tanzania, countries that have shown relatively stable contraceptive prevalence/fertility rates or a significant decline in growth.
